Salary / Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Shift / Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 3:00pm

About The Role

All Square Recruitment is excited to partner with a well-established glass processing and manufacturing business based in Witham, Essex, to recruit a dedicated Process Operator to join their production team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer on a temp-to-perm basis, with a structured skills development pathway and genuine long-term progression as you build your expertise in glass production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate specialist machinery to process and manufacture glass products to a high standard.
  • Observe all quality systems and processes relevant to glass processing at all times.
  • Adhere to all health and safety systems and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Carry out periodic housekeeping and machine maintenance activities in line with the company’s schedules, quality systems, and procedures.
  • Achieve output and productivity targets in line with production requirements.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
  • Support the training and development of colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practice.
  • Complete a structured skills training programme, including safe glass handling within the first two weeks, followed by primary, complementary, second, and third skills training over the following months.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Physically fit, as the role involves manual work, occasional heavy lifting, and periods of standing.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to demonstrate an exceptional work ethic.
  • Professional, confident, and mature attitude, with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • A flexible approach to working hours to help meet customer demand and business needs.
  • Strong team player who supports and works well with colleagues.
  • Performs well under pressure with a proactive and innovative approach to working practices.
