JMW Farms is part of a group of companies who are one of the UK and Ireland's leading pig producers.
We have our own transport fleet who deliver meal to our local farms from our mill and transport meal products from the port.
Job Description
We are seeking an individual to join our Animal Feed Processing Team. This role will consist of you using the computerised mill system to control the receiving, inspecting and processing of ingredients into finished feed, packing feed into bags and loading lorries with bagged or bulk feed for delivery to customers. It will also, with training, include driving a shunter vehicle to move trailers for tipping and reloading.

Your key responsibilities:
As part of the close working dynamic mill team, you will be trained to:
- Receive and store bagged raw materials.
- Inspect, test and receive dry bulk ingredients.
- Operate all feed mill machinery; batching, grinding and pelleting via computer controls.
- Record receiving, batching, and despatch information via the computer system and paper records.
- General operator duties including good housekeeping practice.
- Adhere to all site Health & Safety, environmental and technical policies and procedures.
- Shunting trailers to assist with tipping and reloading.

Job Requirements:
Essential
- Positive can-do attitude is essential along with the ability to work to a high standard without supervision.
- Caring, passionate, driven, enthusiastic, competent individual with excellent eye for detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience in working within a fast pace environment.
- Experience working with computers.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn.
- Basic English and Maths.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in Operating machinery ideally within a Mill.
- HGV Class 1 Licence.
