Process & Performance Monitoring Senior Support Officer

Are you highly organised, analytical, and passionate about improving service performance? We are looking for a Process & Performance Monitoring Senior Support Officer to play a key role in supporting the effective management and monitoring of Sheffield's Highway Maintenance Service and its major contracts.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the performance, governance, and financial management of one of the city's largest infrastructure contracts, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, transparently, and in line with contractual requirements and best practice.

About The Role

As a Process & Performance Monitoring Senior Support Officer, you will support the Operational Process Team in developing, implementing, and maintaining performance monitoring systems, procedures, and reporting arrangements that underpin the successful delivery of highway maintenance services.

You will:

  • Develop and maintain performance monitoring procedures, systems, and reporting processes
  • Monitor contract and service performance, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of key information
  • Support the management and monitoring of budgets, expenditure, and financial processes
  • Gather, analyse, and present financial and operational information to support informed decision-making
  • Prepare reports, briefings, benchmarking information, and performance data for a range of audiences
  • Support contract governance activities including reviews, health checks, risk management and performance meetings
  • Work closely with technical, operational and strategic contract management teams
  • Help maintain systems and processes that support effective service delivery and compliance with contractual obligations
  • Assist with the management and monitoring of non-core works and associated programmes
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and the development of new processes and procedures

You will play an important role in ensuring that performance information is robust, financial controls are effective, and service delivery remains focused on achieving value for money and continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
