PROCESS SAFETY AND ENGINEERING MANAGER
Working closely with colleagues across Operations, Engineering, R&D and SHE, you'll champion a proactive process safety culture, lead the development and implementation of our Process Safety Management framework, and ensure robust governance through monitoring, auditing and performance reporting. Alongside this, you'll manage our Process Engineering team, supporting the successful delivery of engineering projects, process improvements and capital installations.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who is passionate about safety, enjoys influencing at all levels of the organisation and thrives on delivering sustainable improvements within a complex manufacturing environment.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of Scott Bader's Process Safety Management strategy and the 20-element PSM framework.
- Drive continuous improvement through process safety audits, performance indicators, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Lead, develop and support the Process Engineering team to deliver safe, efficient engineering solutions and capital projects.
- Provide expert process safety guidance across the business, ensuring compliance with legislative and company standards.
- Champion a positive process safety culture through stakeholder engagement, training and cross-functional collaboration.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
- Degree qualified in Engineering, Science or equivalent industrial experience.
- Significant experience in Process Safety Management within a chemical manufacturing environment, including HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, SIL, ATEX, DSEAR and Human Factors.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams, delivering process improvements and leading complex technical projects.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
- A proactive, analytical approach with a genuine passion for process safety, continuous improvement and developing high-performing teams.
