Process Safety Engineer
Salary: Circa £47,000, depending on skills and experience
Hours: Full-time, with flexibility for part-time.
Location: Flexible across the Anglian Water region, with requirement to travel to sites across the region
Type: 37 hours per week/permanent
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Safety Engineer to help safeguard our people, assets, and communities by leading the management of process safety risks across our water supply operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support process safety risk management across water supply operations
- Provide expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, control measures and working knowledge of barrier-based risk analysis and its application.
- Support incident investigations, ensuring lessons are learned and embedded
- Drive continuous improvement in process safety systems and performance
- Deliver assurance and compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Collaborate across teams to promote a positive and proactive safety culture

About You:
- Background in process safety, engineering, or risk management or a history of working with toxic gases and chemicals, such as chlorine and ozone
- Experience in high-hazard industries
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Passion for improving process safety, resilience, and operational excellence
