Job Description
The Process Technician Senior Coordinator is responsible for processing refined extract and its intermediates using a series of well-defined and documented manufacturing processes/procedures whilst being in compliance with Health and Safety (H&S) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Carries out their work in a way that will not adversely affect their own or others’ health, safety and security or the environment and reports any shortcomings in Jazz arrangements.
- The Job Holder has legal duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974 requiring them to take reasonable care for their own and others' safety, cooperate with employer safety measures (like training and policies), use equipment correctly, and report hazards or defects.
- Responsible for the manufacture of BDS in accordance with cGMP standards, both as an Initiator and Checker.
- Ensures that all activities undertaken comply with H&S and cGMP standards as detailed in relevant SOPs and working practices.
- Authors and updates batch documentation, standard operating procedures and associated forms.
- Responsible for the completion of quality related documentation, such as Deviations, CAPAs, Protocols, and Change Controls.
- The nature of the work requires the Job Holder to be flexible with regards to working hours to ensure that they are available to complete a production process should it overrun.
- Ability to work across all Production Departments ie within the BDP Areas when fully trained.
- Trains and coach new starters (re-trained individuals) in BDS manufacturing processes.
- Looks for areas of improvement across all BDS manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Informs line management of any atypical events/deviations immediately.
- Executes additional tasks to meet departmental objectives.
- Potential to act as the BDS Department H&S representative and undertake all the tasks associated with that role.
- Potential to take responsibility for consumable and Critical to Quality ordering within the department.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience gained in a regulated production environment, ideally within the pharmaceutical/chemical or food industry.
- Good level of numeracy.
- Good communication skills include writing.
- A good working knowledge of standard Microsoft packages i.e. Excel and Word.
- The ability to work on your own or in a small team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with key stakeholder groups, both internal and external.
- Prepared to challenge the norm and look for areas of improvement share own ideas and information.
- Good team worker and assist colleagues as and when required.
- Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude.
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
- Ideally holds qualifications gained in the pharmaceutical industry i.e. NVQs or similar.
