The Role
The Team Leader for the Specialty Processing Group at the global level is responsible for leading a team of Technicians aligned to specific product lines within their Operating Entity.
The role involves working closely with the Head of Global Specialty Processing to supervise administration and support processes related to clients' insurance needs, with responsibilities they manage directly.
This position ensures targets are met, business development is achieved, and a high standard of service is delivered in accordance with Group policies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and implementing operating plans for your team, including setting priorities.
- Developing team projects and contributing to other organizational initiatives.
- Supervising team output to ensure compliance with agreed service and quality standards.
- Assisting with the creation and processing of broking, client, and technical documents (e.g., slips, quotes, indications).
- Performing technical duties such as data entry, credit control, and chasing subjectivities.
- Acting as a partner concern point for team-related issues and developing strong internal and external relationships.
- Managing team performance, setting objectives, and supporting professional development.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and standard processes.

Who We're Looking For
- Previous experience in leading or supervising teams, ideally within a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Lloyd's and the London market, as well as FCA regulations.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with capacity to support and guide less expert staff.
- Highly organized with strong prioritization and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate documentation.
- A team player with supervisory skills, capable of motivating and developing others.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and resilient under pressure.

Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths are essential.
- A-Level Grades A-C (or equivalent) preferred.
- Progression towards professional qualifications is desired but not crucial.
