Proclaim Developer

Location: Southport / Hybrid
Salary: Depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Proclaim Developer to join our team, delivering development and technical solutions across a range of client Proclaim Case Management systems.

As a software and technology partner to multiple law firms, our work is varied. Rather than supporting a single Proclaim environment, you'll work across multiple clients, different areas of law, and a wide variety of Proclaim configurations, workflows, and business processes.

You'll work directly with client stakeholders to understand their requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and design solutions that meet their needs.

This is a hands-on development role, but we're looking for more than someone who can simply build what is written in a specification. We want someone who can understand the problem a client is trying to solve, ask the right questions, and use their knowledge of Proclaim to recommend and deliver the best solution.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Proclaim Developer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining solutions within Proclaim Case Management across multiple client environments.
  • Designing and developing workflows, screens, fields, calculations, and automated processes.
  • Working directly with stakeholders at client firms to gather requirements and understand their objectives.
  • Translating sometimes complex business requirements into practical and maintainable Proclaim solutions.
  • Reviewing existing client workflows and identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement.
  • Advising clients on the most appropriate way to achieve their requirements within Proclaim.
  • Investigating and resolving technical, workflow, and data-related issues across different Proclaim environments.
  • Developing and supporting integrations between Proclaim and third-party systems.
  • Testing developments thoroughly and ensuring solutions are ready for deployment into live client environments.
  • Producing clear technical documentation and maintaining appropriate records of developments and changes.
  • Working across multiple client projects, delivering development in line with priorities and timescales agreed with the wider team.
  • Working collaboratively with other developers, consultants, and members of our wider technical team.
  • Providing technical input into the scoping and estimation of new development requests and projects.
  • Building strong working relationships with clients and acting as a trusted technical point of contact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with proven experience developing within Proclaim Case Management who is comfortable working independently when required, while also working collaboratively as part of the wider development team, taking ownership of development from initial requirement through to delivery.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Proclaim Developer.
  • A strong understanding of Proclaim workflow development and configuration.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience gathering and interpreting requirements from stakeholders.
  • The ability to take a business requirement and translate it into an effective technical solution.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong approach to testing.
  • The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The confidence to question requirements and recommend alternative approaches where appropriate.
  • The ability to work effectively across multiple clients, projects, and pieces of development.
  • A strong customer-focused mindset and an understanding of the importance of delivering high-quality work within agreed timescales.

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would also be advantageous:

  • APIs and third-party system integrations.
  • Data migration and large-scale data manipulation.
  • Document generation and automation.
  • Reporting and management information.
  • Office suite and related technologies.
  • Experience working across different areas of law and legal workflows.

About You

Technical knowledge is important, but how you approach a problem is just as important to us.

Because you'll be working with multiple law firms, you'll quickly encounter very different ways of using Proclaim. Two clients may use Proclaim for similar areas of law while having completely different workflows, integrations, processes, and priorities.

We're therefore looking for someone who is adaptable, inquisitive, and comfortable getting to grips with unfamiliar Proclaim environments.

We want someone who can understand their process, identify the underlying requirement, and use their technical knowledge and experience to design the right solution.

You'll be comfortable speaking directly with clients, asking questions, challenging assumptions where appropriate, and explaining your recommendations in a way that makes sense to non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits

As part of the role, you'll have access to a range of employee benefits, including:

  • Additional annual leave, including loyalty-based increments, our holiday purchase scheme, and holiday carry-over.
  • Maternity and paternity pay.
  • Bereavement leave.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Work from home / hybrid working.
  • Company sick pay.
  • Health and wellbeing programme.
  • Company events.
  • Casual dress.
  • Internal upskilling programmes.

Why Join Us?

You'll have the opportunity to work with a range of law firms and gain exposure to multiple Proclaim systems, different areas of law, and a wide variety of technical challenges.

Rather than spending your time maintaining a single implementation, you'll regularly encounter new environments, new requirements, and new problems to solve.

You'll be part of a wider development team that works together to manage client requirements and priorities. You'll have the autonomy to take ownership of your development work, while having the support and experience of the wider team around you.

Your ideas and technical expertise will be valued, and you'll have the opportunity to influence how solutions are designed and delivered for our clients.

If you're an experienced Proclaim Developer who enjoys solving problems, working with clients, and finding smarter ways to make technology work for businesses, we'd love to hear from you.
