Procurement Administrator

Location: Head Office, Birmingham

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, Hybrid working 3 days minimum in the office

Salary: Highly Competitive + Excellent Benefits Package

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and driven Procurement Administrator to join our team. This role is crucial to the smooth operation of our procurement teams. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks while staying organised and meeting tight deadlines. If you're someone who is detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you!

This role is essential to the team and the broader procurement process. You'll be a key part of our operations and will have the opportunity to grow and develop within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to various inquiries across the business related to waste services
  • Gathering information, taking orders, and working closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operations
  • Overseeing the delivery of services and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and approved suppliers
  • Conducting research to find new suppliers, gathering prices, and supporting project-based work
  • Maintaining the contract database, ensuring all checks are in place to manage risks and governance

About You

You are a strong administrator with excellent communication skills. With a keen attention to detail, you understand the importance of accuracy and efficiency in your work. You're proactive, motivated, and enjoy taking on responsibility, whether it's managing your own tasks or liaising with team members. You're confident on the phone and able to handle inquiries and build relationships. Above all, you're eager to learn and grow within the procurement field, with the potential to advance in the role as you build your expertise.

Key Skills

  • Experience using the MS Office Suite (Outlook and Excel)
  • Strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage change and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
