Procurement Administrator
This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the beginning of their procurement career who is looking to gain hands-on experience within a fast-paced and professional environment.
As Procurement Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the procurement function and ensuring the efficient purchasing of goods and services across the business. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will help maintain accurate procurement records, track orders and deliveries, and support supplier compliance and performance objectives.

As Procurement Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the procurement function and ensuring the efficient purchasing of goods and services across the business, with a key focus on our service and small works activities. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will help maintain accurate procurement records, track orders and deliveries, and support supplier compliance and performance objectives.

Working with the wider Reliance team to ensure the most cost-effective solutions are found. This can be through savings on products or through process efficiencies.

You’ll be part of a hard-working, supportive and analytical Procurement team that takes pride in the detail. Working across a variety of projects throughout the business, the team is hands-on, collaborative and always looking for smarter ways of working. With a strong focus on value, efficiency and continuous improvement, they are committed to finding opportunities to create cost savings and make a real impact.
Responsibilities
- Support the purchasing function to ensure goods and services are procured in the most effective, efficient, and commercially beneficial way.
- Optimize cost savings through process improvement by working with the team and identifying areas of unnecessary “movement” within the process.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on procurement processes and best purchasing routes.
- Manage suppliers by being a key point of contact, managing day-to-day queries and maintaining positive working relationships both internally and externally.
- Coordinate the timely processing and expediting of purchase orders to ensure delivery requirements are achieved.
- Manage supplier agreements, pricing structures, and rebate opportunities to help maximise commercial value.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and support compliance with internal procurement procedures and policies.
- Manage maintaining the purchasing element of the ERP system including; creating material codes, maintenance of supplier price lists, user access.

Your Experience
Essential
- Experience within a role of administration.
Desirable
- Has experience in administration, purchasing, procurement, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience with ERP systems.
Your Qualifications
- Maths and English GCSE to a minimum Grade 4.
- Computer literate.
Your Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, including data analysis and manipulation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- A proactive, self-motivated approach to work.
- A willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges.
- A strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering against key metrics.
