Hays Business Support are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation for a Procurement Administrator to join their team based in Harworth, Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused administrator to gain valuable experience within a busy procurement and supply chain function.

Job Details

This is a full-time temporary position starting immediately in October 2026, running until January 2027.

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00am to 5:00pm
  • 30-minute lunch break
  • 40 hours per week
  • 100% office-based (not hybrid)
  • Free on-site parking available

The Role

Working closely with the Procurement Manager, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure purchasing activities, supplier records, and procurement processes operate efficiently and accurately.

Key duties will include:

  • Processing purchase orders, requisitions, and amendments accurately and within agreed deadlines
  • Maintaining procurement records, databases, and documentation
  • Updating supplier, product, and pricing information within internal systems
  • Supporting supplier onboarding activities and compliance documentation
  • Monitoring order confirmations, delivery schedules, and shipment updates
  • Investigating and resolving invoice queries alongside the finance team
  • Acting as a first point of contact for procurement-related queries from internal stakeholders
  • Supporting stock, supplier, and operational purchasing queries
  • Producing reports, maintaining trackers, and ensuring data accuracy
  • Ensuring all documentation meets company quality and compliance standards
  • Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives across procurement administration processes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience within an administration, purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support position
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communication skills when dealing with colleagues and suppliers
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • A proactive and professional approach to work

Desirable experience includes:

  • Experience using ERP, purchasing, or stock management systems
  • Previous exposure to manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or operational environments
  • Understanding of procurement or purchase-to-pay processes
