Role Overview
We are recruiting for a Procurement Analyst on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role in a function that is at the start of a transformation journey to improve its ways of working and ultimately value to the University.

Procurement sits within the Finance directorate which has recently transitioned into a new operating model and structure following the merger of St George’s and City Universities. This will provide the opportunity for learning and career development.
Role Purpose
The role’s purpose is to support the Procurement Team with reporting, analysis and administration to ensure City St. George’s maximises the value from its third party spend and help ensure compliance with internal policies and external procurement legislation.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include:
- Data analysis and reporting
- Systems ‘champion’ for finance and procurement systems
- Key point of contact for procurement queries
- Ensuring accurate and robust record keeping and audit
- Opportunity to lead own procurement projects for development
Qualifications and Skills
It is expected that the role-holder would have an interest in procurement and may have some experience within finance or procurement. The role holder would be expected to be keen to develop a career in Procurement and show a desire to commence with formal CIPS qualifications. The role holder would be expected to develop a sound understanding of public contracting regulations.
