Work Culture:
- Working Week: 37 hours, although hours may vary depending on role, job requirement, or site-specific arrangements.
- Finish Time: Early 1.30 pm finish on Fridays.
- Working Arrangements: Remote, hybrid, and site-based opportunities, depending on your needs and the requirements of the role.
- Volunteering: Up to 5 paid days volunteering each year.
- Flexibility: Focused on output, with more formal flexible working arrangements on request (assessed subject to role) - please highlight any requests to the Talent Acquisition team.

Weapons
Our Weapons business works ethically to provide complex weapons systems to customers. We equip the Royal Air Force with capabilities such as AMRAAM and Paveway IV precision guided munitions; the Royal Navy with our Phalanx close-in missile defence system; and the British Army with Javelin portable anti-tank guided weapon system.
About the Role:
Responsible for managing a range of procurement activities, including sourcing goods and services, negotiating purchase orders and contract changes, and supporting commercial and contract management processes. Works closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to manage risk, deliver value, and contribute to wider business objectives and procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sourcing, procurement, and supplier negotiations for goods and services.
- Support supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management.
- Conduct commercial evaluations, cost analysis, and risk assessments.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Support bid and proposal activities, including supplier engagement.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery metrics.
- Manage the end-to-end purchase-to-pay (P2P) process.
- Drive continuous improvement and promote sustainable procurement practices.
- Prepare reports, business cases, and management briefings as required.

Essential Requirements:
- Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Subcontract Management, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of SAP, MRP systems, and procurement processes.
- Experience managing purchase orders, deliveries, invoicing, and supplier performance.
- Degree, MCIPS qualification, or equivalent experience.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience with supplier relationship management and supplier development.
- Exposure to bids, proposals, or programme governance activities.
- Knowledge of programme management, risk management, or project delivery processes.
- Experience working with international suppliers or global supply chains.
- Knowledge of import/export and logistics requirements.
- Continuous improvement or process improvement experience.
