The Opportunity:
Blue Gem Wind Ltd (BGW) is responsible for developing the first 100MW Test and Demonstration (T&D) Floating Offshore Wind Farm in the Celtic Sea, project Erebus. Erebus is located approximately 44 km southwest of the Pembrokeshire coastline, within a project site boundary of approximately 43.5 km². The Project has:
- an Agreement for Lease signed with The Crown Estate for up to 100 MW
- a grid connection agreement
- secured its primary consents in March 2023
- been awarded a Contract for Difference (CfD) during UK CfD Allocation Round 7 in January 2026.
The project has already completed both Pre-FEED (February 2020 - September 2021) and FEED (October 2021 - September 2023) phases covering all engineering packages. The Erebus Project is now preparing for a FEED update phase following the successful award and execution of a CfD in Jan 2026 and adapting to key floating wind design changes since 2023.
Attendance will be required at occasional in-person workshops and meetings, likely located in Bristol, Cornwall or Wales.
Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of the Procurement and Contracts Manager is to lead the tendering and contract negotiation process for construction contracts for the Erebus project. Specific duties will include:
- Contributing to development of the commercial and procurement strategy for individual construction contracts.
- Development and management of commercial relationships with key suppliers.
- Developing contract documentation for specific packages of work, including major construction contracts.
- Preparing and managing tender processes.
- Leading tender evaluation and making selection recommendations.
- Negotiation of contracts through to contract signature.
- Commercial management of contracts after signature through to completion of the related works.
- Effective claims and variations management to minimise cost overruns and ensure contractors comply with contract requirements.
- Reporting to and advising senior management on contract issues arising.
- Supporting Capex and Opex estimation for the project.
- Liaison and close collaboration with the wider BGW team.
- Contributing to the development of commercial management tools and processes.

The contracts and agreements under the responsibility of the role holder may include the following:
- Main construction contracts for the project, including pre-FID agreements required with key suppliers and service and maintenance contractors.
- Engineering and other consultancy contracts required to support the development of the project.
- O&M services contracts.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Exemplary behaviour with regards to HSE rules and shall ensure that all activities they are responsible for, or involved in, are performed with the highest level of consideration to HSE risk management, protection of human's health, respect of local communities and care of the environment.
- A university degree or equivalent level of education, preferably in a legal, engineering, technical or commercial subject.
- Broad-based commercial or technical background and first-class negotiations skills. Experience in the offshore wind environment is highly desirable. The position requires relevant experience in a contract negotiation and management environment, with at least 10+ years of demonstrable contracting / procurement management experience.
- Detailed understanding of EPC/EPCI and T&I forms of contract including FIDIC, LOGIC and/or BIMCO.
- Successful track record in leading all commercial aspects in the tendering and contracting phase.
- Strong commercial contract and negotiation skills.
- Results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and produce concise information for senior management.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage own workload, meet timescales and coordinate a number of external and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to enable effective discussion and transfer of information between contractors, team members and other stakeholders.
- Diligent and detail-focused.
- Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work as a member of a large, multidisciplinary and international team.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to work from the Bristol Office an advantage.
