Procurement Business Partner
Based in Kent, Hybrid
Permanent
£48,000 - £54,000
We are seeking a proactive and organised Procurement Business Partner to provide strategic procurement support across multiple functions within the organisation. The successful Procurement Business Partner will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver value for money, ensure compliance with PCR2015/PA2023 regulations, and embed sustainable procurement practices across the organisation.
Procurement Business Partner - Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities across key projects, with a particular focus on Asset Management and support for wider business functions
- Develop and implement category management strategies that align with organisational objectives, regulatory requirements, and value-for-money principles
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing expert guidance on procurement routes, governance, compliance, and commercial best practice
- Support the creation of specifications, tender documentation, evaluation frameworks, and procurement reports to ensure robust and compliant procurement outcomes
- Manage tender exercises from market engagement through to contract award, ensuring transparency, fairness, and regulatory compliance
- Deliver procurement training, guidance, and support to colleagues, helping build commercial awareness and procurement capability across the organisation
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including contract and pipeline data, ensuring reporting accuracy and audit readiness
- Collaborate with the wider procurement team to support supplier onboarding, due diligence checks, purchase order approvals, and ongoing procurement administration

Skills and Abilities

- Strong understanding of category management across Asset Management, Development, and Estates
- Demonstrable experience delivering end-to-end procurement activities within a public sector, housing association, or regulated environment
- Strong knowledge of PCR2015 and the Procurement Act 2023
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Professional procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS Level 4 or above) or working towards accreditation
