Procurement Business Partner
Our client, based in Wolverhampton, is currently recruiting for a Procurement Business Partner on a 12-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The daily rate is £450 inside IR35 and travel will be required to the office 2/3 days per week.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be CIPS Level 4, have experience in a Local Authority setting and have delivered procurements under PA23.
Duties
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing professional procurement advice and support to Corporate Services departments, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation, council policies, and financial regulations
- Partnering with budget holders and service leads to develop effective procurement and sourcing strategies that deliver value for money
- Leading and supporting procurement exercises, including market engagement, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award
- Managing and developing supplier and contract relationships, monitoring performance, risks, savings, and service outcomes
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings, efficiencies, sustainable procurement, and continuous improvement

Experience Required
- Background in Local Authority setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge, understanding of and experience with PA23
- CIPS Level 4
Working Hours
- 37 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
