Procurement & CAPEX Programme Manager | Leisure & Events | 12-Month FTC

A leading UK leisure and events organisation is hiring a Procurement & CAPEX Programme Manager to support strategic investment across a portfolio of established venues.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Group Head of Procurement, you’ll combine construction procurement and commercial management with hands-on delivery of major capital projects. The portfolio spans new builds, refurbishment, infrastructure and wider estate investment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading selected complex capital projects from pre-construction planning through to handover
  • Managing procurement schedules, tenders and negotiations for construction and specialist works packages
  • Managing contractors, consultants and supplier performance to deliver value, quality and timely completion
  • Monitoring project budgets, forecasts, critical paths and emerging risks
  • Strengthening governance and reporting across the wider investment portfolio
  • Supporting internal Project Leads with practical guidance on procurement, planning and delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong construction or CAPEX procurement experience, combined with demonstrable project or programme delivery responsibility
  • A track record of managing complex capital projects and multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Commercial confidence across tendering, contract negotiation, cost control and supplier management
  • Experience working within live operational estates, ideally in leisure, hospitality, sports, entertainment, retail or heritage environments
  • The ability to engage senior stakeholders while remaining close to the practical detail of delivery
