Procurement Category Manager
We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Category Manager to join our Procurement team here at Harrods. This role is responsible for developing and executing category strategies that optimise cost, quality, and performance across the IT Category (Hardware, Software and Services).
This role is a 6-month fixed term position.
About the Role
The Procurement Category Manager will lead the strategic management of indirect spend across the IT category, ensuring Harrods consistently sources goods and services that deliver quality and value. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role is accountable for driving commercial advantage through robust category strategies, data-driven spend analysis, and exceptional stakeholder engagement.
You will build and manage strong relationships with key suppliers, leveraging robust supplier relationship management frameworks to deliver innovation, sustainability, risk mitigation, and continuous performance improvement. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will lead end-to-end procurement activities, including market analysis, tender processes, commercial negotiations, and contract management, while championing procurement best practices and driving organisational change. You will also be responsible for delivering savings targets across CAPEX and OPEX spend, ensuring compliance with company policies and governance requirements, and confidently influencing stakeholders and suppliers to achieve strategic business objectives.

About You
You will bring strong experience in IT procurement, with a solid understanding of category management, strategic sourcing, and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). You'll have excellent commercial and negotiation skills, experience using procurement or sourcing systems, and be confident analysing data and presenting insights using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Retail sector experience is advantageous but not essential.
You will be an effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and manage supplier relationships. A good understanding of procurement governance, contract management, risk management, and compliance is essential, alongside a commitment to ethical sourcing. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities and working independently with minimal supervision.
