About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Category Manager to support the delivery of effective, compliant and value-driven procurement across assigned categories. The role will involve managing supplier contracts, supporting tender activity, achieving cost savings, improving contract coverage and working closely with stakeholders to ensure goods and services are procured efficiently and in line with organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with key stakeholders and the Senior Category Manager to establish and deliver a detailed contract work plan for assigned categories.
- Effectively manage and develop a category specific work plan once established.
- Identify and achieve cost savings in line with projections and agreed targets across all assigned categories.
- Assist the Senior Category Manager in the management of national contracts as directed.
- Assist the Senior Category Manager and Head of Procurement in the development and implementation of robust procurement processes across the Organisation and to develop the Organisation’s approach to sustainable and ethical procurement.
- Support the Senior Category Manager in the development and maintenance of the Intranet Procurement pages and other e-Enablement initiatives as directed.
- Collect and maintain robust management information for all regional and central contracts as necessary.
- Accurately maintain a contracts register for all contracts. Gather and analyse data as requested by the Senior Category Manager and Head of Procurement.

About You
- Experience of leading on complex procurement for goods and services within a strategic organisational business environment
- Experience of day to day running and management of complex multiple supplier accounts
- Experience of managing multiple and complex stakeholder needs
- Experience of participating in and an understanding of the tender process for the selection of new suppliers
- Experience of negotiating with suppliers
- Experience of developing and maintaining databases
- An understanding of best practice procurement including supply chain concepts such as total acquisition cost
- Demonstrate significant experience within a fast paced procurement environment, underpinned by a CIPS level 4 qualification or equivalent level of strategic sourcing experience.

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
