Procurement Category Specialist – Packaging, Print & Retail Display

Sector: Packaging / Marketing

Location: Remote (UK) with occasional travel

Salary & Package: £60,000 + bonus + 25 days holiday and a further benefits package

Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a global leader in sustainable packaging and retail solutions to recruit a Procurement Category Specialist into their growing European Sourcing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that partners with some of the world's leading brands and is investing heavily in the continued growth of its procurement function.

They are looking to speak with procurement professionals who have strong end-to-end sourcing experience, ideally within Packaging, Manufacturing, POS, Retail Display or Print, and who enjoy working closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and client-facing teams to deliver cost savings, supplier innovation, and long-term sourcing strategies.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies, delivering commercial value and supporting long-term business objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing activities including RFQs, supplier negotiations, contract management, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Build strong supplier partnerships while identifying opportunities to improve quality, innovation, sustainability, and supply chain resilience.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance, supporting new business tenders and ensuring the supplier base continues to deliver best-in-class value.

Experience & Requirements

  • Proven end-to-end procurement and category management experience within Packaging, Manufacturing, Retail, FMCG, Marketing, or a similar environment.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships, leading commercial negotiations, and delivering measurable cost savings.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong commercial acumen and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international procurement environment.
