What You Will Do
As a Procurement Coordinator, you will support the efficient sourcing and supply of materials, products, and services to meet business and customer requirements. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will coordinate purchasing activities, monitor supplier performance, manage purchase orders, and ensure goods are delivered on time and within budget. This is a key role supporting operational continuity, cost control, and supply chain effectiveness.

- Create and manage purchase orders in line with business requirements
- Monitor supplier deliveries and proactively resolve supply issues
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotations, pricing, and lead time information
- Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records within ERP systems
- Support inventory management activities to optimise stock levels
- Track and report key procurement metrics, including cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Assist with supplier onboarding, evaluation, and performance reviews
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, warehouse, and finance teams to support business objectives
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain efficiencies

Required
- Previous experience in a procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or administrative coordination role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience using ERP, MRP, or procurement management systems
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Beneficial
- CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS certification
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment
- Understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes
- Knowledge of supplier performance management and procurement best practices
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
