Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness and Perth

Salary: £68,100 - £82,000 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role

The Networks Transmission business is forecasting a £12Bn spend within the next 10 years where an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement and Commercial (P&C) Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial team within the Offshore Directorate responsible for the Western Isles Cable Civil Works.

You will

  • Support the Senior Procurement and Commercial Manager and their teams providing a world class procurement and commercial service to internal customers, ensuring all aspects of delivery are following internal controls as established through project governance and commercial manuals.
  • Lead on procurement activities such as the development and delivery of the project procurement strategy, managing the procurement process, negotiation of contract terms and conditions and price through to contract award whilst ensuring compliance with the Utilities Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2016.
  • Cost estimate to the required standard and accuracy. Ensure all relevant evidence is collated within the estimate to justify to internal and external stakeholders including Ofgem.
  • Provide robust post contract commercial management which will support the project goals and ensure that the core principles of the commercial manual are being implemented.

You have

  • Experience and competence with the conditions of contract, specifically NEC.
  • Demonstrable experience and competency on all cost management issues including cost reporting, forecasting, accrual management and supply chain payment.
  • Knowledge of relevant statutory and legal provisions and detailed understanding of procurement and commercial policies and procedures.
  • Strong commercial acumen with well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills with experience delivering large projects/programmes of work.
  • Ability to manage a large and diverse team ranging from Graduate level through to Senior Contract Managers.
