Senior Procurement Consultant - Defence (QDC)
Home Based with Client Travel Required
6-Month Contract
£650 - £800 per day (Inside IR35)
We're supporting a major defence programme and are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Consultant to join a high-profile engagement delivering commercial and procurement expertise within a complex Defence environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong defence sector experience who can demonstrate a proven track record of delivering commercial value, strategic sourcing initiatives, and measurable cost savings.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities across complex defence programmes.
- Deliver strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management activities.
- Support procurement activities relating to MOD Qualifying Defence Contracts (QDCs).
- Identify and implement cost-saving and value-for-money initiatives.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders across procurement, commercial, and operational functions.
- Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, and defence procurement requirements.

Essential Experience
- Significant experience operating as a Senior Procurement Consultant or equivalent.
- Strong understanding and practical experience of MOD Qualifying Defence Contracts (QDCs).
- MCIPS Level 5 qualified (or higher).
- Experience delivering procurement strategies within defence, government, or highly regulated environments.
- Strong commercial, supplier management, tendering, and contract negotiation skills.
