Your new company

The organisation places procurement at the heart of its strategic decision-making and is investing in sustainable, commercially focused procurement practices that support long-term corporate objectives. You will join a collaborative environment where procurement plays a key role in delivering efficiencies, managing risk, promoting social value, and supporting service transformation across a diverse range of categories.

Your new role

As Procurement & Contracts Specialist, you will provide expert procurement advice and guidance across the organisation while leading end-to-end procurement exercises for goods, services, and works. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing sourcing strategies
  • Managing tender processes
  • Producing procurement documentation
  • Evaluating bids
  • Negotiating with suppliers
  • Ensuring compliance with public procurement legislation and internal governance requirements

Working closely with stakeholders from across the organisation, you will identify opportunities to maximise value for money, deliver savings and efficiencies, and embed best practice procurement approaches. You will undertake spend and category analysis, support contract and supplier relationship management activities, maintain contract records, and contribute to the development of procurement policies and processes. The role will also involve supporting collaborative procurement initiatives, promoting social value outcomes, and providing training and guidance to stakeholders to enhance procurement capability across the organisation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to interpret contractual terms and conditions will be essential.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are equally important, as you will be required to influence a wide range of stakeholders, present procurement recommendations, and support organisational change through the adoption of best practice procurement approaches.
