Procurement Director, Maidstone, Kent

Lead Strategic Procurement. Drive Commercial Value. Shape the Future.

BJF Group is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Procurement Director to lead our Procurement and Supply Chain function.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for developing and delivering procurement strategies that maximise value, drive efficiencies, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Procurement and Supply Chain team.
  • Deliver strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship programmes.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts that optimise value and mitigate risk.
  • Drive innovation and digital transformation, including the use of Power BI and procurement analytics.
  • Oversee procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supply chain performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement, sustainability, and best practice across the business.
  • Act as a key member of the Senior Management Team, contributing to company-wide strategy and decision-making.

About You

  • Proven senior leadership experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and contract management expertise.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and financial acumen.
  • Experienced in supplier performance management and delivering measurable cost savings.
  • MCIPS qualified or equivalent experience desirable.
  • Experience with Power BI and data-driven procurement insights advantageous.
