A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Procurement Engineer within our Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine business, you'll sit at the intersection of Engineering, Procurement, R&D, and our global supplier network, helping shape how new and upgraded gas turbine products are designed, sourced, and delivered.

You'll lead cost optimisation activities, support major development programmes, and bring suppliers into the product development process at an early stage. From organising Design to Cost workshops to identifying new technologies and challenging product costs, you'll have the opportunity to influence engineering and commercial decisions that directly impact the competitiveness of our products.

Working as part of an international Procurement Excellence team, you'll collaborate with specialists across the UK, Canada, Sweden, US, India, and other global locations.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Act as the key Procurement interface for product development projects, representing Procurement within selected R&D programmes and working closely with project managers to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Lead Design to Cost and cost optimisation activities, developing and implementing cost-out measures with Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Procurement and technical teams to develop effective sourcing strategies, bringing technical and commercial perspectives together to support supplier and technology decisions.
  • Harness supplier expertise and innovation through early supplier involvement, technology scouting, and strategic partnerships that support new and upgraded gas turbine products.
  • Support successful market introduction of new products by ensuring Procurement and the supply base are engaged throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate across our global Procurement Excellence network, including Cost Engineers, Commodity Managers, Supplier Quality Managers, and international colleagues to share expertise and deliver project objectives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
