Procurement Lead
FTC - Maternity Cover till May 2027
Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to take ownership of procurement activity across multiple categories. You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver effective sourcing strategies, reduce costs, manage supplier risk and drive commercial value.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is commercially astute, independently driven and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and procurement activity across multiple categories.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead RFPs, RFIs and competitive tender processes.
- Analyse spend, market trends and supplier capabilities to identify savings and efficiencies.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and supplier agreements.
- Work with Legal on contracts, risks and obligations.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Ensure procurement activity follows appropriate policies and governance.

Requirements

- 3–5 years' procurement experience, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment.
- Strong sourcing, tendering and commercial negotiation experience.
- Proven ability to deliver cost savings and commercial value.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leadership.
- Commercially minded, self-driven and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working at pace and managing changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
