Procurement Lead – Networks & Operations
Newbury + Hybrid - 2 days/week in the office
3-month contract
We’re looking for an experienced Procurement Lead to join a leading UK telecommunications organisation on a 3-month contract, supporting a range of strategic and high-value procurement activity across Networks and Operations.
This is a commercially focused role, working closely with senior stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, challenge supplier costs and negotiate strong commercial outcomes.
Key areas will include:
- Procurement of professional services, including activities such as drive testing
- Supporting commercial negotiations across civils and network-related services
- Managing complex procurement and contractual negotiations
- Supporting neutral host activities and associated commercial arrangements
- Developing sourcing strategies, assessing market dynamics and identifying opportunities to optimise cost, risk and value
- Working closely with senior business, finance, technology and legal stakeholders
- Supporting strategic supplier management and ensuring robust commercial outcomes

About you:
We’re looking for an experienced procurement professional with a strong track record of managing complex, high-value sourcing and commercial negotiations within a large, complex organisation.
You’ll have experience across telecommunications, and ideally RAN Networks, with the commercial confidence to challenge suppliers and influence senior stakeholders.

You should have:
- Significant end-to-end strategic procurement experience
- Strong commercial and contract negotiation skills
- Experience managing high-value procurement activity
- Excellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills
- The ability to challenge costs, develop commercial strategies and deliver tangible value
- Experience of professional services, civils, infrastructure or telecoms procurement would be highly beneficial
- Exposure to neutral host environments would be advantageous
