Your new role
As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering procurement strategies that support business performance, cost efficiency and supply continuity. You will manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations and tendering activities, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure materials and services are available to support production requirements.
Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality and finance teams, you will drive supplier performance, mitigate supply chain risks, support inventory optimisation initiatives, and lead continuous improvement activities. You will also provide leadership and development support to a small procurement team.
What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of 5 years' procurement experience within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
- Strong understanding of procurement, supply chain and inventory management principles
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous leadership or people management experience
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Degree qualified in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related discipline

Desirable:
- CIPS Level 5/6 qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience within a lean manufacturing environment
- Project management experience or qualifications
