Procurement Manager Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager to join a thriving organisation at their Runcorn Head Office, offering a hybrid working model with three days in the office and two days from home. This pivotal role sits within the General Procurement (GNFR) team and is designed for an experienced professional who thrives on optimising indirect spend, driving value for money, and ensuring robust supplier performance.
What You'll Do
In the role of Procurement Manager, you will be entrusted with significant responsibility for shaping the organisation's approach to indirect procurement. Your day-to-day activities will involve:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing and category management strategies across areas of indirect spend.
- Analyse costs and identify opportunities to reduce spend and improve efficiency.
- Create and execute effective negotiation strategies.
- Conduct cost, scenario and benchmarking analysis.
- Identify, assess and mitigate procurement-related risks.
- Develop, manage, and monitor supplier contracts.

What You Bring
- 4+ years' experience in an indirect purchasing or procurement role at a similar level.
- Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally within multi-business-unit environments.
- Proven track record managing teams with varying skill levels.
- Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing principles, procurement techniques, and best practices.
- Advanced skills in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
