About The Role
AO Recycling is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our growing team in Telford. Reporting to the Director of Commercial, you'll lead all non-stock procurement activities across our three recycling sites, driving cost savings, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with operations, engineering, and finance teams to ensure continuity of supply, manage strategic supplier relationships, and deliver value across significant CAPEX and OPEX spend. You'll also oversee import/export activities and lead a small procurement team.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
- Leading procurement strategy across multiple spend categories.
- Managing supplier relationships, contracts, and commercial negotiations.
- Delivering cost savings and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Managing supply chain risk and ensuring continuity of supply.
- Overseeing import and export activities.
- Monitoring supplier performance through KPIs.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Leading and developing a small procurement team.

A Few Things About You
We're looking for a commercially minded procurement professional with experience in a manufacturing, engineering, recycling, or similar environment.
You'll Have
- Proven procurement management experience within a medium or large business.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience delivering measurable cost savings and process improvements.
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing, stock management, and supply chain risk.
- Experience working with operational and senior stakeholders.
- CIPS Level 6 qualification (essential).
- A proactive approach and a passion for building strong supplier relationships.
