Procurement Manager – Renewable Energy
Are you an experienced Procurement Manager with strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to deliver results?
Do you have a background in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, engineering, construction, or related industries, and enjoy finding solutions to complex procurement challenges?

At AltGen, we are looking to connect with experienced procurement professionals across England who combine commercial expertise with a practical, results-driven approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, budgets, and operational and project requirements.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, supplier evaluation, and contract award.
- Negotiate commercial terms and agreements to secure competitive pricing and favourable contractual outcomes.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships, monitor performance, and ensure contractual and delivery obligations are met.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and greater procurement efficiency.
- Assess procurement and supply-chain risks, considering supplier capability, availability, and market conditions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, project delivery, commercial, and finance functions.
- Maintain procurement governance, compliance, documentation, and reporting.

Experience & Qualifications
- Proven procurement or strategic sourcing experience within renewable energy, energy, infrastructure, construction, engineering, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of competitive tendering, commercial contracts, and procurement processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
- Sound financial and commercial judgement, including cost analysis and budget awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across different business functions.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- A relevant qualification in procurement, supply chain, business, or a related discipline would be advantageous. CIPS certification would be beneficial.
