Role Overview
The Procurement Manager is responsible for maximising delivered financial value and enhancing visibility and perception of Procurement within Equans. This role involves implementing new supplier contracts and delivering ongoing value and savings in line with the Procurement Policy.
Responsibilities
- Support business growth through bid support, market engagement, pricing validation, and supply chain strategy development.
- Lead supply chain mobilisation activities for new contract awards, ensuring suppliers, frameworks, and governance controls are established.
- Deliver effective supplier assurance activities, including financial due diligence, compliance reviews, security requirements, and business continuity assessments.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and long-term value creation through effective supplier relationship management.
- Act as a visible and trusted Procurement business partner, promoting commercial awareness, governance, and best practice across the organisation.
- Develop, manage, and optimise supplier relationships across assigned categories and business units, ensuring suppliers consistently deliver against contractual, operational, compliance, and performance requirements.
- Ensure all procurement activity is undertaken in accordance with company policy, delegated authority levels, and governance requirements.
- Act as a strategic procurement business partner to operational, project, and bid teams, influencing decisions that improve commercial outcomes, governance, value, and risk management.
- Build strong relationships with both Equans operational contracts and supplier representatives.

Candidate Profile
- Experience of supplier relationship management and performance improvement programmes.
- Experience supporting mobilisation, transition, or business growth activities.
- Experience operating within regulated, public sector, or compliance-driven environments.
- Demonstrable experience delivering procurement value, governance, and supply chain optimisation initiatives.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Proven negotiation and supplier management experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial and financial data.
