Commercial Manager (Corporate Services / Infrastructure Focus)

We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a major London public sector organisation on an interim basis. Working within a high-profile programme, this role will support a broad range of commercial and procurement activities across corporate services, facilities management and infrastructure-related projects. The Commercial Manager will work within a matrix environment, partnering closely with project leads, stakeholders and specialist teams to ensure commercial activities are delivered effectively and aligned with programme requirements. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders across the organisation and would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively across a varied portfolio of projects.

Key Details

  • Contract: Until 18 December 2026
  • Location: Southwark, London (minimum 2 days per week in the office, with occasional travel to the Stratford office)
  • Rate: £388.10 PAYE / £529.95 Umbrella per day (Inside IR35)
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Interview: Own laptop required

The Role The successful candidate will support the delivery of commercial and procurement activities across a diverse portfolio of corporate services and infrastructure-related projects. Working closely with project and delivery teams, you will help shape commercial requirements, manage procurement activities and support programme delivery through effective stakeholder engagement and governance.

Essential Experience

  • Commercial Public Sector procurement experience.
  • Facilities Management (FM) procurement experience.
  • Experience working across multiple procurement categories.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Infrastructure or fit-out procurement experience.
  • Experience covering office fit-outs, workplace facilities, maintenance, refurbishment or related categories.
  • Experience gathering and refining commercial requirements with project and delivery teams.
  • Experience coordinating with specialist procurement teams and supporting governance processes.
  • Experience managing risks, approvals and escalations within procurement or programme environments.
