Procurement Manager – Project Letchmore Heath Power Station

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team working on Project Letchmore Heath Power Station.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a major power and infrastructure project, taking responsibility for the procurement of subcontract packages, materials, plant and services required to support successful project delivery.

The Role

As Procurement Manager, you will work closely with the Project, Commercial, Engineering and Construction teams to develop and manage the project procurement strategy.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Developing and managing procurement schedules in line with the overall project programme
  • Managing enquiries, tendering, bid analysis and supplier/subcontractor selection
  • Negotiating commercial terms, pricing and contractual conditions
  • Placing and managing purchase orders and subcontract packages
  • Identifying long-lead items and ensuring procurement activities support key programme dates
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitoring supplier performance, lead times and delivery commitments
  • Working closely with the Commercial team to achieve best value while maintaining quality and programme requirements
  • Identifying procurement risks and opportunities and implementing appropriate mitigation measures
  • Ensuring procurement activities comply with company procedures, project requirements and relevant contractual obligations

About You

We are looking for someone with strong procurement experience gained within construction, power, energy, utilities, infrastructure or a similar major-project environment.

You Will Ideally Have

  • Proven experience in a Procurement Manager or senior procurement role
  • Experience procuring subcontract packages, materials, plant and specialist services
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier-management skills
  • Experience working within a project-based construction or engineering environment
  • The ability to manage multiple procurement packages and competing priorities
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with project teams, senior management, suppliers and subcontractors
  • A proactive approach with a strong focus on programme, cost, quality and delivery
