Procurement Manager

The Procurement & Supplies Dept. are looking to appoint a Procurement Manager to join their procurement team based at University Hospitals, Coventry.

Requirements

The successful applicant will have previous experience of working in a Procurement team and applicants should have some knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and experience in administering EU tenders.

Ideally you will be educated to degree level, qualified or studying towards MCIPS and possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Duties

Duties will primarily involve assisting the Head of Procurement in delivery of the Trust's Procurement Strategy. You will also be required to provide an effective and professional service when delivering procurement projects, achieve cost efficiency benefits to the Trust and demonstrate value for money in all procurement activities whilst maintaining compliance with all statutory legislation, Trust Standing Orders and Standing Financial Instructions.

Responsibilities will also include identifying opportunities for standardisation/rationalisation of product usage across the Trust and evaluating supply chain activities, ensuring the most cost-effective source of supply.
