About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager – Indirects to support a high-growth telecommunications business operating across Europe. This is a broad, commercially focused role responsible for sourcing indirect goods and services, including IT hardware, software, SaaS, licenses, and professional services, through global and regional supplier agreements.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Legal, and Compliance, leading key sourcing initiatives, negotiating complex agreements, and helping embed strong procurement governance as the organisation continues to scale.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Strategic Sourcing & Category Ownership

  • Support the development and execution of global and regional procurement strategies aligned to business objectives and market dynamics.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities across indirect categories, including IT, SaaS, VARs, licenses, and professional services.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for key spend areas, including spend consolidation across VARs.

Tendering & Supplier Selection

  • Own and lead full RFP / tender processes from market engagement through to contract award.
  • Evaluate suppliers against clearly defined criteria, including cost, quality, delivery capability, commercial risk, and sustainability.
  • Identify, select, and onboard new suppliers in collaboration with Group stakeholders.

Supplier & Contract Management

  • Build and actively manage supplier relationships, driving performance, value improvement, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and support commercial and contractual negotiations, working closely with Legal on complex agreements.
  • Manage contracts through their lifecycle, including performance management, issue resolution, and dispute management where required.

Governance, Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure responsible, ethical, and compliant procurement practices in line with company policy and sustainability commitments.
  • Maintain accurate supplier directories, contracts registers, and procurement records to ensure auditability.
  • Track and analyse spend, pricing, and supplier performance, producing cost analysis and financial reports.
  • Review supplier invoices to ensure pricing accuracy, compliance with contract terms, and budget alignment.
  • Prepare procurement reports, pricing schedules, and documentation to support governance and decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner closely with UKI / EMEA Operations, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams.
  • Embed procurement within the existing Project Governance Framework and educate stakeholders on procurement and contracting best practice.
  • Balance multiple stakeholder needs while maintaining commercial discipline.

Key Priorities Over the Next 12–24 Months

  • Build and maintain an Approved Vendor List and global / regional agreements.
  • Consolidate and optimise indirect spend, particularly across VARs and technology suppliers.
  • Improve commercial terms with existing suppliers.
  • Strengthen procurement engagement, visibility, and compliance across the business.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Knowledge

  • 5+ years’ experience in sourcing and procurement, with strong indirect category exposure.
  • Proven experience developing sourcing strategies and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of S2P workflows, procurement processes, and procurement technologies.
  • Advanced experience in spend analysis, sourcing, and commercial & contract negotiation.
  • Experience working with enterprise SaaS and technology vendors is advantageous.
  • Experience operating in a multinational, European or global environment.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Expert-level negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel and spend analysis expertise.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels of seniority.
  • Sound financial understanding, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Resilient, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
  • CIPS Qualified

Language Skills

  • Fluent English essential.
  • A second European language (French, Spanish, or Finnish) at an advanced level is highly desirable.
