Procurement Manager
An excellent opportunity to join a global organisation delivering major data centre and mission-critical projects across the UK, EMEA and APAC.
Basic: £80,000 - £90,000 + Travel + Benefits
Based: Remote (Offices in Manchester and London)
Hybrid working: Remote role with travel to client meetings in London
Working on hyperscale and mission-critical projects across the UK and European regions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to work for an international consultancy, embedded into a client to take ownership of major construction, MEP, equipment and professional services packages from tender through to contract award.
We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Procurement Manager to lead the client-side procurement process across a portfolio of major data centre projects. Working alongside delivery partners, you will review procurement strategies, challenge tender processes, assess award recommendations and ensure packages remain aligned with programme, commercial and delivery requirements.

Role Responsibilities
- Review procurement strategies, plans and package schedules to ensure alignment with project and programme requirements.
- Review RFP documentation covering scope, pricing schedules, evaluation criteria and contract conditions, challenging and resolving issues before tender issue.
- Attend supplier clarification meetings, manage bidder queries and ensure the tender process progresses effectively through to close-out.
- Review bid qualification scoring to ensure robust and consistent commercial evaluation.
- Assess contract award recommendations for compliance, value and risk, producing the client's assessment and taking awards through governance to signed contract.
- Track manufacturing slots, lead times and delivery risks for long-lead equipment including generators, UPS, switchgear, transformers and cooling systems.
- Provide weekly reporting on package status, risks and decisions required, while capturing lessons learned for future tenders.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- MCIPS, MRICS or an equivalent professional qualification is the preference
- Experienced in leading Procurement activities for a client or through consultancy services.
- Data centre or other mission-critical project experience, with strong experience across MEP packages, with electrical and mechanical equipment and professional services.
- A second language relevant to European markets would be advantageous but not essential.
You must be living and eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this position. No one requiring Visas can be considered at this time.
