Interim Commercial Manager
We are recruiting for an experienced Commercial/Procurement Manager to join a major London public sector organisation on an interim basis. This role sits within the Corporate Services Procurement team and is focused on delivering complex, high-value and strategic procurements across workforce-related categories, including consultancy, professional services, contingent labour and engineering/project-related requirements.
Key Details
- Contract: Until 18 December 2026
- Location: North Greenwich, London (Hybrid - 1 day per week in office, Wednesdays)
- Rate: £388.10 PAYE / £529.95 Umbrella per day (Inside IR35)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Interview: One-stage MS Teams interview

The Role
You'll lead high-value and strategic procurement activity across a range of service-based categories, managing procurement strategy, tender exercises, supplier engagement and commercial negotiations. The role requires someone who can operate independently, influence senior stakeholders and deliver successful procurement outcomes.
Essential Experience
- Significant public sector procurement experience.
- Strong background in services procurement.
- Experience leading large and complex procurement exercises.
- Procurement strategy development and market analysis.
- Commercial negotiation and supplier management experience.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Experience working with legal teams on contracts and terms & conditions.

Desirable
- SAP Ariba experience.
- CIPS qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing frameworks and supplier relationships.
