You will be working within the Building Services Operating Unit (OU) based in Leavesden (Watford), where we are responsible for creating healthy workplaces, and efficient facilities that improve people’s lives. In this role, you will support and assist the Commercial Services Enabling Function.

We are currently looking for a Procurement Manager to develop the procurement strategy, procure and manage individual category agreements, sub-contract packages and/or supply agreements at project / category level, delivering best value solutions, and providing projects and/or Enabling Functions with a compliant, sustainable supply chain.

Please note that Procurement Experience in FM Healthcare Sector is essential for this role

As The Procurement Manager You Will

  • Development of package/ category procurement strategies to clearly demonstrate and seek approval from stakeholders on how a product / service will be procured.
  • Undertake tendering activity applying a balanced approach to select suppliers based upon criteria which is relevant to the customers and Skanska’s objectives.
  • Procurement and management of a portfolio of sub-contract packages / categories to optimise value to the business through strategic supplier selection and supplier relationship management.
  • Development and on-going management of internal and external stakeholder relationships at all levels to identify and deliver timely procurement activity to the project procurement schedule / category plan to support profitable projects and the UK Business Plan.
  • Drafting of recommendations / business cases, for approval and senior management endorsement of supply chain selection.
  • Draft, negotiate and execute robust agreements / contracts incorporating relevant Skanska policies, to reflect the deal, and protect the business from risk.

  • Procurement Experience in FM Healthcare Sector is essential.
  • Good supply chain marketplace knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to drive the right decisions and outcomes in line with organisation priorities.
  • Confident and professional approach to stakeholder engagement, with experience of holding stakeholders to account when necessary to uphold legislative compliance and adherence to procurement policy.
  • Self-starter and able to work on own initiate to deliver to agreed timescales.
