Procurement Manager - West Burton Renewable Energy Project

About the Role

Keltbray is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to support the delivery of the West Burton Renewable Energy Project, a major infrastructure scheme incorporating large-scale solar generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), high-voltage substations and National Grid connections. The project includes approximately 600MWp of solar PV, battery storage infrastructure and associated grid connection works that will play a significant role in supporting the UK's transition to a low-carbon future.

This is a critical position requiring a procurement professional with demonstrable experience delivering procurement strategies on major renewable energy, power transmission or energy infrastructure projects. We are specifically looking for someone who understands the market, the supplier landscape and the challenges associated with procuring complex energy infrastructure packages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project delivery objectives.
  • Lead tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract award activities.
  • Manage supplier and subcontractor relationships across multiple work packages.
  • Work closely with commercial, engineering and project teams to ensure procurement activities support programme delivery.
  • Drive value engineering and supply chain innovation.
  • Monitor supplier performance, procurement risk and cost forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement governance and contractual obligations.
  • Provide market intelligence and build long-term strategic supplier relationships.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
