Procurement Manager
Location: Preston

Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience
About the Role
As a Procurement Manager (IT Software), you will lead the sourcing, supplier management and commercial strategy for a portfolio of engineering software and technology suppliers. Working closely with Engineering, IT and business stakeholders, you will drive value, manage commercial risk and support the delivery of strategic technology objectives.
Core Duties
- Lead and develop a small, high-performing procurement team, providing coaching, direction and support
- Lead strategic supplier relationship management with key software vendors and technology partners
- Negotiate and deliver Enterprise Agreements, software licensing arrangements and other complex commercial contracts
- Engage with IT and other business stakeholders to shape sourcing strategies, support technology roadmaps and understand future demand
- Lead complex sourcing activities, renewals and commercial negotiations to deliver cost, value and performance improvements
- Provide procurement leadership and commercial guidance on software, SaaS and related technology requirements

- Significant procurement experience within software, technology, engineering software or IT infrastructure categories
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing, category management and procurement strategy development
- Demonstrable success in supplier relationship management and managing strategic vendor partnerships
- Experience leading, developing or mentoring procurement professionals
About the Team
As part of this role you will get the opportunity to lead and develop a team of procurement professionals, providing direction, coaching and support to deliver category objectives and strong procurement outcomes. Through effective stakeholder engagement, supplier management and negotiation, you will influence how engineering software and related technology services are sourced and managed across the organisation.
