Saputo Dairy UK’s portfolio includes the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City, alongside household names such as Clover, Country Life, Vitalite and Utterly Butterly, as well as dairy ingredients and dairy‑free products.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Procurement Manager – Packaging to define and deliver the entire category strategy across high‑value, business‑critical spend areas. This is a high‑impact role, operating as a trusted commercial partner and shaping decisions that directly influence margin, continuity of supply, sustainability outcomes and long‑term business performance.

This role is based at our Weybridge office, with the option to work from home up to one day per week, subject to business need. Candidates must be able to work onsite a minimum of four days per week.

Work pattern: Monday–Friday, 37 hours per week.

YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

  • Developing, owning and executing multi‑year category strategies aligned to business objectives, growth plans and risk appetite.
  • Translating business demand into clear sourcing and commercial strategies across complex and volatile supply markets.
  • Identifying and delivering value beyond price through specification optimisation, demand management, total cost of ownership and supply chain design.
  • Leading strategic decisions relating to supplier footprint, sourcing models and long‑term category positioning.
  • Delivering against significant value targets including cost reduction, cost avoidance, margin protection and working capital.
  • Leading complex, high‑value commercial negotiations with strategic and critical suppliers.
  • Developing deep understanding of cost drivers, market indices and macro‑economic factors impacting assigned categories.
  • Proactively managing inflation, volatility and supply risk through forward‑looking commercial strategies.
  • Building and managing a strategic supplier network, balancing performance, innovation, risk and resilience.
  • Embedding sustainability objectives into category strategies, supporting ESG commitments and regulatory compliance.
  • Influencing senior stakeholders through insight‑led recommendations and strong commercial judgement.

  • An experienced procurement professional with strong direct category expertise and a proven track record of delivering strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Experienced within FMCG/ CPG manufacturing, with a proven track record of operating in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Commercially confident with the ability to lead complex negotiations and influence senior and executive‑level stakeholders.
  • Externally focused, with strong market insight across global supply markets, cost drivers and industry trends.
  • Experienced in managing supplier risk, continuity planning and long‑term supplier partnerships.
  • Passionate about embedding sustainability and innovation into procurement strategies.
  • A credible leader who role‑models best‑in‑class procurement thinking and behaviours.
