Procurement Manager
Lead Category Manager – Developer Path to Senior Category Manager

This is a Lead Category Manager role with the potential to develop into a Senior Category Manager for the right candidate.
The role involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders and leaders to:
- Develop category strategies
- Implement and manage them to deliver goals
- Manage teams on specific workstreams and initiatives, ensuring they deliver on time, to expectations, and in line with targets and KPIs
Responsibilities
- Category Management – Develop, execute, and optimise category strategies aligned with business objectives
- Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders internally and externally
- Team Supervision – Oversee daily team activities and ensure agreed targets and objectives are achieved
- Due Diligence & Strategic Insight – Conduct thorough analysis of company and market understanding
- Value Creation – Enhance processes, performance, and commercial activities for measurable improvements
- Plan Development & Implementation – Lead the development and execution of strategic plans
- Team Coordination & Support – Ensure cross-team collaboration and provide necessary support
- Performance & Leadership –
- Drive performance and results
- Manage performance reviews, technical development, and coaching
- Foster a high-performing team environment
- Net Zero Carbon Transition – Actively contribute towards collaborative net zero carbon goals, including identifying and mitigating carbon emissions across projects

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in relevant subjects
- A Levels (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong negotiation skills
- Commercial acumen – Ability to drive value and negotiate win-win outcomes
