We are seeking a commercially driven, analytically strong procurement leader to manage the European Third Party Manufacturing category. The role combines category strategy, complex negotiations, supplier relationship management, and hands-on operational execution. The successful candidate will develop a competitive and resilient supplier network, support NPD and product launches, deliver annual savings and cash-flow commitments, and ensure external manufacturing partners perform across cost, quality, service, innovation, sustainability, and risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the European TPM category strategy, aligned to business growth priorities, Global TPM best practice, and the broader Direct Procurement agenda.
- Identify, qualify, develop, and manage the external manufacturing supplier base, ensuring the right capability, capacity, agility, certifications, and strategic fit for current and future business needs.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations covering pricing, contracts, productivity, capacity, service levels, lead times, innovation support, and continuity-of-supply requirements.
- Drive cost competitiveness through market intelligence, supplier benchmarking, should-cost modeling, total cost optimization, annual cost standards, and clear purchase price variance tracking (PPV tracking).
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Regulatory, and Programme Management to support innovation, product launches, and speed to market.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate supply, financial, operational, quality, regulatory, and business continuity risks across key TPM partners.
- Manage supplier performance using robust KPIs across cost, quality, service, delivery, responsiveness, innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior supplier executives, creating a structured engagement model focused on value creation, innovation, and mutual accountability.
- Lead sourcing events, supplier selection, supplier transitions, contract renewals, and business continuity initiatives with disciplined governance and clear decision-making.
- Deliver annual savings, cash-flow, and productivity targets, while supporting annual business planning, in-year budget management, and clear reporting of financial performance.
- Interface confidently with senior internal stakeholders, including Procurement leadership, Supply Chain leadership, EMEIA Pacific LT, commercial teams, and relevant executive forums when required.
- Act as a proactive member of the Global TPM and Direct Procurement community, sharing best practice, challenging existing ways of working, and helping to build TPM capability.
- Potential line management responsibility.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
