Job Purpose

As Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting key Stakeholders and our Clients requirements. The role will provide lots of variety across different commodities and a diverse set of Stakeholders as well as the opportunity to learn and develop within the role. The main focus of the role is to support the UK business and further add and expand to a maturing Procurement function which are now integrated closer to creating a Global Procurement function.
The role will support the Head of Procurement in the overall management of the procurement team and obtain further buy-in with wider stakeholders.
We are looking to develop Partner Programmes and drive strategic thinking.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic sourcing & commercial delivery

  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities (RFI/RFP/RFQ) across assigned categories
  • Deliver measurable cost savings and value (cost avoidance, demand management, contract optimization)
  • Support implementation of category strategies defined at regional/global level
    Category ownership (execution-focused)
  • Take ownership of selected indirect categories (e.g. IT, professional services, BPO, facilities, HR services)
  • Maintain category plans aligned with broader procurement strategy
  • Monitor supplier markets and identify commercial opportunities
    Supplier & contract management
  • Manage key supplier relationships and performance (KPIs, SLAs)
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract renewals
  • Mitigate supplier risk and ensure compliance with internal policies
    Stakeholder engagement
  • Partner with business stakeholders (Finance, Operations, IT, HR, etc.)
  • Challenge demand and specifications where appropriate
  • Act as a trusted advisor on procurement and commercial matters
    Process & governance
  • Ensure procurement activities follow internal policies and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and tools
  • Contribute to reporting on savings, pipeline, and supplier performance

Candidate Skills

  • Strong experience in Procurement / Strategic sourcing
  • Experience in indirect procurement, ideally in a services or outsourcing environment
  • Track record of delivering savings and managing supplier relationships
  • Experience working in matrix or international organisations is a plus
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills
  • Solid understanding of sourcing methodologies and contract structures
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence without authority
  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actions
  • Comfortable operating autonomously within defined scope
  • Pragmatic and delivery-focused
  • Hands-on and execution-oriented
