Procurement Officer

We are looking for a Procurement Officer to join our Engineering team. This is a part-time role offering someone with excellent administrative and communication skills an opportunity with flexibility of working days/hours, based across our modern Hemel Hempstead & Luton Campuses.

You will support the effective ordering and distribution of equipment and parts for our Construction and Engineering teams working closely with Senior Management and establishing supportive working relationships with all staff, students and external companies.

This role will suit a proactive, enthusiastic individual who can effectively manage stock, carry out price checks to ensure value for money and communicate with curriculum teams so all resources are proactively sourced to enable successful curriculum delivery.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, using your own initiative
  • Patience, tact, and courtesy with a high level of customer care

You will need to:

  • Process orders and confirm delivery receipts
  • Monitor budget expenditure
  • Support managers to apply the appropriate budget controls

Requirements:

  • Excellent IT skills
  • Qualified to at least Level 2 or have the gained the equivalent knowledge through experience in a similar role

The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week at our Hemel Hempstead campus. The closing date for applications is Tuesday 22nd September 2026.
