Hays are delighted to be partnering with a well-established third-sector organisation to recruit a Procurement Officer for their Belfast-based team. Your new role
As Procurement Officer, you will:
- Support the Procurement Manager in delivering effective procurement activities across the organisation.
- Be involved in supplier sourcing and management, market research, contract and quotation preparation, compliance monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.
- Help develop procurement procedures, support supplier negotiations, undertake risk assessments, and ensure procurement activities align with relevant regulatory requirements across the UK and Ireland.
- This is a varied position offering exposure to contracts, supplier management, compliance, and strategic procurement initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain or a similar commercial function.
- Experience supporting contract management and procurement processes.
- Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse data and interpret financial information.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Tendering experience would be advantageous.
- Experience within healthcare, social care or a regulated environment would be beneficial.
