We are looking for a Procurement Officer to join the Procurement Team.
This is a hybrid role, working in our Leeds/London office minimum 1 day a week.
The Procurement Function consists of approximately 19 colleagues across the UK, US and Denmark. split across 3 sub-teams – Sourcing, Risk & Governance, and Special Projects. Whilst each team has their own specific responsibilities, the team work together in a highly collaborative environment to support the delivery of joint objectives. The Procurement Officer sits within the Sourcing sub-team, working along side 8 other Procurement Managers / Procurement Officers.

The Procurement Officer's role is to ensure PureGym spends its money effectively, efficiently and economically, achieving value for money whilst reducing risk via a sustainable supply chain.
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing goods and services, ensuring PureGym's supply chain operates compliantly, and supporting the wider team of Procurement Managers. Key responsibilities / activities include:
- Lead sourcing activities, including but not limited to RFIs, RFPs, benchmarking activities and direct supplier negotiations. This includes the end-to-end process management / facilitation, compromising of negotiation, contracting, governance, approvals and supplier mobilization.
- Provide support to Procurement Managers on complex, strategic procurement activities.
- Support the wider Procurement function with day-to-day activities.
- Ensure contract compliance, working with the Procurement Governance Manager to manage and facilitate contract renewals / extensions / terminations.
- Provide support and sound commercial advice to stakeholders on all procurement matters – including but not limited to procurement governance / process, supplier performance / management, supplier escalations.
- Develop strong and credible relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions including IT, Ops / FM, Property, Finance, HR and Marketing.
- Support the development of the Procurement teams strategy and plan.
- Actively contribute to ensure the team meet all Procurement KPIs – including financial savings / benefits, contract compliance, sourcing compliance etc.
This is a hybrid role, with time being split across home working and either the Leeds and / or London office.
There will be a requirement for occasional international travel (within Europe), up to 4 times per year.

Qualifications & Skills

12 months in a procurement role with experience of supplier facing procurement activities (e.g. RFPs).
- Key skills required include:
- Planning & Organization

- Negotiation

- Teamwork
- Data Analytics
- Interest, or ideally experience, in health and fitness is preferred, but not essential
- Additional language skills, including Danish and German, would be advantageous but are not required.
- Highly proficient in the use of business tools, including but not limited to:
- Microsoft Office
- AI tools (e.g. Claude, CoPilot).
