About the Role

  • Support the delivery of an effective, compliant, and value for money procurement service across Hartpury
  • Manage procurement activities across a diverse range of goods, services, and works, ensuring organisational needs are met efficiently
  • Work closely with colleagues and suppliers to deliver procurement projects, tender exercises, and contract management activities
  • Provide professional procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders across the organisation
  • Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency, and value for money
  • Contribute to sustainable and responsible procurement practices that support Hartpury's strategic objectives
  • Support continuous improvement by enhancing procurement processes, systems, and ways of working

About You

  • Experience of working in a procurement, purchasing, contracts, or commercial environment
  • An organised and accurate approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations
  • An effective communicator, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders
  • Good commercial awareness and a focus on delivering value for money
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to work towards a relevant professional procurement qualification where this is not already held.
